Twitter time out

I’m in Twitter time out. Evidently, the number of people you follow can’t be much larger than the number of people who follow you. Now, I can't follow others until my followers grow.

The geeky side of me understands. I probably initiated a few similar rules in my IT life.

Even so, I keeping thinking of a hot afternoon in eighth grade, standing alone on the black top waiting for the lunch period to end, and thinking, I ‘like’  more people than ‘like’ me.

Help me out and check out my new header at @lyndieb

Hi Lyndie,

Everyone hates that 2,000 followings barrier. Twitter created it to discourage fake accounts, bots and spammers, but the actual result is that it discourages genuine users.

I've had a look at your account and it doesn't look like the situation is going to resolve by itself any time soon. You'll need almost as many followers as you follow people, and this requires some drastic action. There are things you can do to get past the hurdle within a month or so.

(And I'm not talking about buying fake followers, lol)
